Now that your house is spring cleaned and ready to go – it’s time for the fun stuff – updating with some DIY projects! I always have big eyes when looking at home projects – but these are fun, easy, and for the most part cheap ideas to help liven up your living space!
Nothing says “this is a home you love” more than some personalization and warmness to your space. This is your chance to really make your home your own haven, and add your style all over it.
Go on the hunt to an antique store or estate sale and find vintage doorknobs. Use a glass doorknob or a style that calls to you and use it as a tie back for your drapery. Will have to use the drill for this project, but install just as you would a door knob on a door!
Herring bone and the Chevron pattern are so popular now – and it’s truly a classic look. Use white tiles for a clean look, or chose a tile with some color and use it to tile a space in your home – a bathroom, an entry way. Notice to the wise – this is a time intensive project and you’ll want someone that has tiled a bathroom before! Don’t attempt on your own without doing thorough research!

Again – so easy! Head back to Home Depot and ask them for a used wood palette from the lawn department, or ask around to see if you know of anyone that can offer you a palette for cheap. Paint it the color you wish and then hang on the wall and add items for fun wall art/coat hanger.
Love this one! I plan on using it later this spring – Click Here for a tutorial on creating your own headboard! Pick any fabric that goes with your bedding & furniture (Try JoAnn’s Fabric) and some cheap wood from… you guessed it – Home Depot!

One of my favorites! I love walking into Williams-Sonoma and smelling the store! Now you can make your home smell as delicious too! A few sprigs of rosemary, lemon slices and a teaspoon of vanilla in a pot and let it simmer on the stove.
